This Must Be: The Update Happy September! Fall is my favorite season, and even though it’s still hot in Denver, I’m thinking about cooler temperatures, changing leaves, and some upcoming travel. This month, I’m heading back east for my best friend’s wedding and to visit family. I also have some exciting speaking engagements coming up. On September 27, I’ll be speaking at the International Downtown Association Annual Conference in Washington, DC. I’m on a panel about membership for downtown organizations and sharing the stage with Melanie Ricci (Downtown Boulder), Philip Rafshoon (Midtown Alliance, Atlanta), and Albert Sanchez (Downtown Houston+). Come see us Saturday morning to talk about all things membership and engagement! On October 23, I’m joining a webinar about Building a Career in Placemaking, hosted by Project for Public Spaces. I’ll be talking about the newsletter and some practical tips for job searching in our beautifully varied field.
