The requests for end-of-year donations is, frankly, overwhelming. So what’s one more, right? I started this newsletter because it’s a resource I wish existed when I was a broke grad student looking for a job. It’s important to me to keep the newsletter free but running this newsletter is not free. There are fixed costs (web hosting and email marketing) and variable costs, namely, my time. Until recently, the cost has been manageable and I’ve been able to at least break even each year because of paid job postings. Last month, newsletter subscribers surpassed 1,700 (yay!), which means that I now have to pay more each month to send emails (boo!). To keep this passion project sustainable, I’m asking for your help.
